Dr. Zekentes works on research and development in the area of compound semiconductors and microelectronics. Initial emphasis was placed on SiC device technology for high- and low-frequency power applications, as well as on SiC-based nanowire transistors. Most recently, the main effort has been dedicated to the development of SiC-based neural interfaces and biosensors.
